In Landscapes Of My Memory III, Oliwia Tomczak explores the resonant depth of oceanic recollection, using a dominant palette of profound blues and subtle aquatic tones. This monumental composition, part of her 2025 diploma cycle, establishes a meditative dialogue between the external world and the internal emotional landscape.
As in its counterparts, a faint horizon line provides an ethereal suggestion of the sea—a distant demarcation of water and sky. However, the true subject remains ambiguous, inviting the viewer to determine whether they are gazing upon a misty, endless ocean vista or witnessing the tactile, dynamic recording of a deeply felt emotion. The artist’s characteristic layered brushwork and expressive gesture transform the cool blue pigment into a palpable field of memory and transience, emphasizing the physical presence of the painting as an object of contemplation.
This is a monumental, one-of-a-kind original artwork (200 ☓ 200 cm) created with acrylics on canvas. The large scale allows for a complete immersion in the texture and the physical energy of the artist's gesture. The work is hand-signed by the artist on the recto and includes a hologram-secured Certificate of Authenticity (CoA).
